Crosserlough ready to go one step further than 2011

In the 2011 NWP Recycling Ulster Senior C Club Championship Final played under very wet conditions in Killeavy, Crosserlough were narrowly defeated by Cushendall in a very tough physical battle. Fast forward a year and Crosserlough find themselves in the final again and this time face Derry opposition in the form of Dungiven. Crosserlough captain Lorraine Day believes her team are glad to have an opportunity to go one step further

‘ We are delighted to be back here in the Ulster Final and we were unlucky in last year’s final. We’ve worked hard and it’s been a great effort from the girls this year so it’s a great opportunity to win the Ulster title. After coming so close last year we are hungry to go that bit further’

On route to this year’s final Crosserlough defeated Derrytresk of Tyrone and Derrynoose of Armagh and are in confident mood going to face Dungiven but Lorraine says that the Cavan side are only concentrating on themselves

‘ We are pretty strong all over the pitch so we are going to concentrate on our own game and we are confident that we can come out with the victory’
