Martin Fogarty of Kilkenny delivering on Coaching Legacy Programme

This weekend sees the second weekend of our Coaching Legacy Programme in conjunction with Sport NI. This weekend our guest is Martin Fogarty of Kilkenny. Martin has managed Kilkenny to 2 All Ireland u21 titles and also coached Kilkenny to 6 All Ireland Senior Hurling titles.

As part of the second weekend the coach’s will get 3 sessions with Martin (Developing Defensive Play, My Experiences and Reccomendations and Creating Scoreable Chances and Taking Them) as well as a number of other workshops. Martin will deliver a session on Developing Defensive play on Friday night and a session on Creating Scoreable Chances & Taking Them on the Saturday as well as a presentation on his experiences and career on Saturday morning. As well as these sessions the group will go through sessions on Systems of Play- Having A Game Plan with John Morrison of Armagh, Compiling and Using Statistics with Kevin Mc Guigan Ulster GAA Sports Science Officer, Using Video Analysis in Coaching with Joe Passmore (Ulster & Eoghan Rua Manager/Coach) and Personal/Career Reflections and Planning with Ross Corbett (Ulster Camogie).

The weekend ends with Martin taking a session in Gortin GAA, Co. Tyrone on Saturday November 30th at 2.30pm which will focus on “Creating Scoreable Chances & Taking Them” for all the camogie and hurling coaches of Ulster to attend.
