AIB Camogie All-Ireland Club Championships Ulster Finals commence this weekend!!

This weekend signals the start of the AIB Camogie All-Ireland Club Championships Ulster Finals in Moy, County Tyrone. On Sunday 19th October at 12 noon events start with reigning champions Clontibret taking on Laragh in the Bridie McMenamin Shield Final. Clontibret have came through the rounds quite comfortably against Down champions Kilcoo and then Tyrone champions Eire Og but the passage wasn’t as easy for Laragh who have had a difficult Semi-Final against Loughgiel. Perhaps the difficult Semi-Final could have Laragh well prepared to overthrow a strong Clontibret squad.

At 2.00pm we have a mouth-watering tie between two strong teams in the Junior Final between Newbridge and Lacken. Newbridge have progressed through from the Preliminary round where they beat Antrim champions Loughgiel quite convincingly before defeating Tyrone champions Derrylaughan so with two games down they will be confident going into the Final. Lacken on the other hand have only played in the Semi-Final, but even though they have played a game less they were very impressive in defeating Down champions Ballyholland to progress to the Final. This is definitely a game which is hard to predict so should be very entertaining for all the supporters.
