Flash bids for Second Ulster TitleThe long overdue Minor Championship final between Antrim and Down will take placethis Sunday in Castlewellan ( Down ). Antrim defeat a fancied Derry in the semifinal a month ago while Down received a bye into the final as Armagh did not field.That game could give Antrim the edge, their manager Aidan "Flash" McKeown onlytwo weeks led the all conquering Loughgiel to the Ulster Senior Club title and Flashas he is known would like to add the Minor title also. Antrim have excellent forwards, Niamh Adams can be a handful, Erin Elliot is Hurlingwith UUJ now andalong within the  0'Neill twins from Cushendall Tara andNiamh they will ask questions of any defence. Antrim have a slight doubt overLoughgiels Caitrin Dobbin who picked out a knock playing for Cross and Passion onWednesday, perhaps there is something to look at in the future from a player welfarepoint of view with some girls playing three times in six days .Down will have home advantage, Aoife Kewon and the excellent Aimmee Mc Aleenan weremembers of this years Senior squad, Dervla Magee is a natural player with a crosscountry background, she will run all day delivering ball to the inside forward line.Jenna Boden and Patina Lively are fresh from last weeks Intermediate win with thereclub so no problems here with match fitness.This is tough to call, two years ago at the same venue Antrim won well, thereplayers will have more match time, and most play at the higher colleges grade,however Down are at home and will also fancy there chances.
