Fermanagh Cumann na Bunscoil Indoor Camogie

Bawnacre leisure Centre in Irvinestown was the venue for Fermanagh Cumann na Bunscoil Indoor Camogie. 6 schools took opportunity to be crowned Fermanagh Champions. St John the Baptist, St Marys Mullymesker, St Joseph’s Ederney, St Pauls, Irvinestown, St Columbans Belcoo and St Ninnidhs.

All the teams played in group games, with 15 games taken place. It was easily to see the skill levels were improving with every game.

St Marys, St John the Baptist, St Columbans and St Ninnidhs set up semi-final games.

St Columbans and St Ninnidhs set up nail biting first semi-final, with the score tied at 1-1 after the initial 5 minutes, both teams head to ensure two sets of extra time, before going into sudden death- where St Columbans got the ‘golden goal’ to take a place in final.

St Marys took on St John the Baptist in the other semi-final. St Marys got off to a flyer, scoring a goal in initial 30 seconds to set them up and go on and win easily.

The final between St Marys and St Columbans was excellent, both teams displaying excellent skills and 2 fantastic keepers keeping their teams in the game. St Columbans finally got the break through scoring the only goal of the game with less than 2minutes remaining.
