Ulster Schools’ Under 14 championship

St Killian’s have come top of the group and they go straight into the semi-finals after the Easter break.

While the Antrim team enjoyed a comfortable win over Assumption Grammar, Ballynahinch, they needed a last minute goal from captain Ellen Leech to defeat Loreto, Coleraine by a single point.

There were a number of strong players for St Killian’s – Gemma Black, Jessica Cochrane and Caoimhe McNaughton in defence and Maeve Gillan, Hannah McCann and Maeve Allen in attack.

Coleraine, with full-forward Cáit Passmore finding the net at regular intervals, go through to a play-off group later this week with St Pius X, Magherafelt and whoever comes second in the south Down group, the final games of which take place on Monday 23 ^rd March.

St Louis, Ballymena are already through from Section 2 and they will face the winners from the South Down group in their semi-final.
