Ulster Shield final : St Patrick’s Dungannon 3-5 Sacred Heart, Newry 1-4

          St Patrick’s, Dungannon pushed through in the second half of this Shielddecider in Sherry’s Field, Armagh yesterday to claim thir first UlsterColleges’ camogie title for five years.Despite conceding an early goal to Molly Smith, the Academy pushed up on theSacred Heart defence and had gone ahead 2-1 to 1-2 at the break with goalsfrom Francine Farley and AnnJo Kernan.Prompted by Shannon Barr, Grace McShane and Caitlin Armstrong, Sacred Hearttook the game to the Academy at the start of the second half, but could onlyrecord two points from Niamh Burns, before the Tyrone school clinched thetie with a Reagan Fay goal midway through the half.Three excellent points from Tullysaron’s AnnJo Kearnan killed off a braveeffort from the Newry girls, who were in search of a breakthrough title atthis grade.
