Armagh Camogie aim to bring home their 2nd All Ireland Junior Championship crown on Sunday 11th of September when they take on Carlow in Croke Park at noon.

Armagh were on the cusp of a wave in the early 90’s as they returned one year later to beat Kildare in the 2nd grade tier- All Ireland Intermediate Championship.
This will be Armagh’s 5th appearance in Croke Park, having lost previous appearances in 1973 (Dublin), 1985 (Galway) and 1987 (Kildare).
Having drawn their 1993 game against the Tribeswomen means that Armagh have never won an All Ireland final in Croke Park so hopefully on Sunday this statistic will change.
The county have a number of National League titles to their credit; and in the past decade have secured two Nancy Murray titles with a number of the current team members helping to win those titles.
However this Armagh team have already won the 2016 National Div 3 League Title and with the above wealth of experience including four girls from the 2011 and eight from the current 2016 All Ireland Minor C Championship winning teams, all eyes are on the big prize!
At the behest of the County Chairperson Jim McCormack and Paddy McArdle took over the team management halfway through a very difficult 2015 season.
From then the County Board facilitated these men with everything they wanted or needed, with only one remit; to build a team Armagh can be proud of. And they did just that! They forged a TEAM!
Hard work, blood, sweat, and tears, and a commitment from the players, the management and the County Board that has been second to none has brought this team to the hallowed grounds of Croke Park where, rest assured, they will fight to the death for that All Ireland Title.
Bus loads of supporters from clubs throughout the county have been organised to head to Dublin on Sunday for what will be a thrilling contest. Please make sure you’re on one!
The Armagh support will be the final weapon in this team’s mighty arsenal.
